Writing about myself is so awkward. But since you asked, here goes…

I stumbled into this space when my nest emptied, more than a decade ago. The youngest of my two sons headed east to play football at the University of Kentucky. My oldest son was in LA, living his dream of working in the film industry. My full-time job came to an end, and I was lost.

I did a lot of soul searching during those early years finally returning to writing. It was the one thing that had always been there for me, through the best and the worst of times. Believe me, there have been plenty of both over my six decades. But I’ll share that another time.

Writing, traveling, and connecting not only continue to inspire me, but have now become my greatest adventure. In 2015 I started journaling, which lead to storytelling, creating content and the rest – well here I am. The thread that weaves my work together is that we are strong, passionate souls and our age is irrelevant. It’s the energy we give to the life we dream of and it’s here… now…

These past few years I’ve met incredibly talented, inspiring people, and done some pretty cool stuff which I love sharing through my blog Notes From The Nest. Telling stories of finding love and purpose later in life and embracing the magnificent cultures and landscape across the globe fill my heart.
